Rainbow Flowers!
In 3rd class A we recently learned how plants absorb water and nutrients. We tested this out by using coloured food dye and some daffodils. Have a look at what we did!

Science Week 3rd Class A really enjoyed Science week 2016. There was a big science fair organised for 4th, 5th and 6th classes due to take place on Thursday in the Halla and in 3rd class we decided to host our own science fair. The children all presented their projects and then we showed the projects off to other classes. We also got the chance to visit other classes, such as 3rd class B and 2nd class to see their science projects. The children all really enjoyed the day and their projects were amazing!! Have a look at some of them! |
Science Lab
This week in class we designed and completed an experiment to see what plants would need to grow. We used Alfalfa seeds, yoghurt pots and cotton wool to do this. We had 4 conditions, seeds with light and water, no light and water, light and no water and no light no water. Here are some pictures of us completing the experiment and writing up our results. Look what we figured out!!
