Today we had lots of fun in class! Conn's mum Sara came in to do an Art lesson with us and it was so cool. We studied the painter Salvador Dali and his painting "Swans Reflecting Elephants". Sara taught us that this type of art is called "Surrealism". After this we created our own "Chimeras", these are imaginary animals created using various body parts from different animals. We sketched our Chimeras first, then added oil pastels and finished with a watercolour wash for the background. They all turned our really well!

I had such a great time teaching the class! All of the kids are so creative. Their insights were brilliant when talking about Dali's artwork. And their artwork turned out amazing. I look forward to coming again next month.
